Jessica Murray

Controlled Abandon: The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction

Jessica will discuss the paradox posed by the conjunction of the planet of form (Saturn) merged with the planet of formlessness (Neptune). If we take up its challenge, this transit can nudge us into a philosophical growth spurt, vastly expanding our way of looking at life. It encourages us to commit to (Saturn) the image-making part of our minds and its elusive yearnings (Neptune). It supports serious spiritual practice. For many people, this interplay of the material world and the realm of pure awareness will be confusing, perhaps overwhelming. But when used with awareness, the transit will deepen our understanding of how consciousness works.

Jessica Murray has been practicing astrology in San Francisco for 45 years. After graduating from Brown University in psychology, fine arts and linguistics, Jessica toured with a political theatre before moving west in 1975, where a study of Carl Jung led her to astrology. Her website, MotherSky.com, offers topical blogs, a monthly SkyWatch, lectures and webinars. She teaches online at Astrology University, and is the author of Soul-Sick Nation and At the Crossroads, and a contributor to the anthology Transpersonal Astrology. Her articles often appear in The Mountain Astrologer.
